The series follows a London crime family's expansion into the Mediterranean underworld.

The Night Manager
2016, 2026The production that put Mallorca on the global filming map. Sa Fortalesa in Pollença became Richard Roper's clifftop fortress, while Cala Deià's Ca's Patró March restaurant served as the atmospheric seaside dining location. The series won three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe. Season 2 returned to Mallorca in 2026, cementing the island's status as a premium spy-thriller location.

Special Ops: Lioness
2023–presentTaylor Sheridan's military thriller brought an A-list cast to Mallorca in early 2025. Palma's historic centre doubled as various Mediterranean locations, with the Hotel Glòria and Plaza de Cort featuring prominently. The Paramount+ series follows a CIA operative who recruits a Marine to befriend the daughter of a terrorist.

The Crown
2016–2023Netflix's award-winning royal drama used Mallorca in its final seasons. Palma Bay and Puerto Portals appeared both as themselves — recreating the Spanish Royal Family's summer holidays — and as stand-ins for Italian coastal settings. The series chronicles the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Mallorca Files
2019–2021The BBC series that made Mallorca the star of the show. Following British detective Miranda Blake and German detective Max Winter solving crimes across the island, the series showcased dozens of Mallorcan locations over two seasons. Cala Deià, Puerto de Andratx, and the Calvià coastline featured prominently, creating an unofficial tourist trail for fans.

White Lines
2020Created by Álex Pina of Money Heist fame, this mystery thriller was set in Ibiza but filmed almost entirely in Mallorca. The production used Palma Bay, the hidden coves of Calvià, and the legendary S'Estaca estate — once owned by Michael Douglas — as key locations. The series follows a woman investigating her brother's disappearance twenty years earlier.
Iconic Films
Over seven decades of cinema history, from Golden Age classics to modern Hollywood productions

Cloud Atlas
2012The Wachowskis' ambitious sci-fi epic used Mallorca's most dramatic landscapes for its post-apocalyptic sequences. Sa Calobra's towering limestone cliffs and turquoise waters appeared as a primitive future world, while the serpentine road to Formentor and the valleys around Sóller provided otherworldly backdrops for this six-story narrative spanning centuries.

Me Before You
2016The adaptation of Jojo Moyes' bestselling novel chose Port de Sóller as the setting for its most romantic sequences. Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin rode the iconic wooden tram between Sóller and the port, creating one of the film's most memorable scenes. The harbour's crescent-shaped bay and the surrounding Tramuntana mountains provided a picture-perfect Mediterranean backdrop.

The Hustle
2019Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson brought their comedic talents to Mallorca in this remake of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Palma's elegant streets and Port de Sóller's charming harbour served as the fictional French Riviera town of Beaumont-sur-Mer, showcasing Mallorca's ability to double for any Mediterranean luxury destination.

Evil Under the Sun
1982Peter Ustinov's Hercule Poirot investigates a murder at an exclusive island resort in this Agatha Christie adaptation. The Cala d'Or area on Mallorca's east coast provided the glamorous seaside setting, with its crystal-clear waters and hidden coves perfectly capturing the novel's atmosphere of luxury and danger.

A Long Way Down
2014Based on Nick Hornby's novel, this dark comedy brought Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, and Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul to Mallorca. Four strangers who meet on a rooftop on New Year's Eve form an unlikely bond, with Mallorca's coastal locations providing the backdrop for their journey of self-discovery.

The Magus
1968Based on John Fowles' enigmatic novel, this psychological drama starred Anthony Quinn as a mysterious millionaire who lures a young teacher (Michael Caine) into an elaborate mind game on a Greek island — filmed on Mallorca. Candice Bergen co-starred in one of the era's most intellectually ambitious productions.
